Legal Specialist – Data Privacy & AI

About the role

Moody's is seeking a Legal Specialist to support its global data privacy program, combining legal expertise with emerging AI technologies to enhance privacy operations across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage legal compliance activities, privacy operations, reporting, and process improvements globally.
• Conduct legal research and maintain internal privacy, cyber, data breach, and data broker law knowledge charts.
• Perform gap analyses of new privacy laws and draft monthly internal privacy updates.
• Triaging and assessing potential personal data incidents, logging and escalating as needed.
• Support day‑to‑day global privacy operations and proactive compliance initiatives.
• Leverage AI and workflow tools to automate intake, logging, tracking, and reporting of privacy reviews and data incidents.

Required profile

• Experience in a legal or compliance privacy role within a global organization.
• Strong ability to research and interpret laws and regulations.
• Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate proactively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with privacy compliance platforms such as OneTrust (preferred).
• Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts and hands‑on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows.
• Awareness of AI risk management and commitment to responsible, ethical AI use.
