Legal Case Manager

About the role

Cedar Financial is seeking a Legal Case Manager to oversee the review, placement, and monitoring of debt‑collection files eligible for legal action. The role acts as the primary liaison between internal teams and external attorney offices, ensuring timely case progression and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Review debt‑collection files and determine eligibility for legal action.
• Identify and place files with appropriate partner attorney offices, confirming all required documentation is complete.
• Maintain regular communication with attorneys to track case status, settlements, and judgments.
• Collaborate with Legal CSRs, compliance, CSM, and accounting teams to support efficient file liquidation.
• Participate in meetings focused on case progress and process improvement.
• Document communications, prepare regular status reports, and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in legal case management, debt collection, or a similar role.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with legal case management software.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
