IT Applications Engineer II

About the role

This individual contributor helps turn business requirements and functional specifications into software solutions, assists in implementing and maintaining business software, and supports systems integration testing and user acceptance testing. The role sits within the IT Engineering job family and uses DevOps, Waterfall and Agile practices to build resilient, secure, multi-channel, high-volume, cloud-based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work assignments on time, following procedures and collaborating across functions to solve business problems.
• Pursue self-development and share knowledge with coworkers and customers, and respond to feedback.
• Design, develop and deliver software solutions, supporting technical recommendations that meet design and functional needs.
• Implement and support new or packaged systems and applications, including programming and configuration support for enhancements.
• Identify interfaces, methods, parameters and procedures needed for technical solutions.
• Provide incident support and troubleshooting for non-complex issues.
• Work with IT teams and vendors so code follows architectural standards, design patterns and specifications.
• Support component integration testing (CIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Review business requirements and functional specifications, write and review technical specifications and documentation.
• Stay current with emerging technical trends through reading and training.
• Execute unit testing to find application errors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS or a related field, or at least two years of software development or related experience.
• Exposure to Salesforce development or SaaS tools preferred.

Required skills

• Preferred: one year each in systems analysis, bug tracking and source code control tools, and technical documentation writing.
• Preferred: experience in a large matrixed organization.
• Preferred: Scaled Agile, Copado, Omni Studio and Salesforce Vlocity.
