HR Business Partner

About the role

The HR Business Partner will work closely with business leaders to translate strategic objectives into effective people initiatives. This role supports workforce planning, talent management, and organizational effectiveness across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to develop workforce plans, talent management strategies, and capability development programs.
• Coach managers on performance management, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and accountability.
• Identify talent gaps and collaborate with Learning & Development to design onboarding, manager training, functional learning, and career development initiatives.
• Work with Talent Acquisition to support staffing plans, candidate selection, offer development, and onboarding.
• Collaborate with Total Rewards on compensation processes, pay‑for‑performance, market competitiveness, and internal equity.
• Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, and terminations, ensuring consistent policy application.
• Provide guidance on Costa Rica labor law, employment contracts, working time, leave management, disciplinary processes, and regulatory updates.
• Analyze HR metrics such as headcount, attrition, engagement, performance, and diversity to identify trends and recommend actions.
• Support organizational change initiatives and continuous improvement through communication, stakeholder alignment, and execution of HR programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5‑8 years of progressive HR experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Costa Rica labor legislation and HR policies.
