Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Human Resources Manager will lead recruitment, onboarding, compliance and employee‑relations initiatives for a fast‑growing fintech company in Costa Rica. The role combines strategic talent acquisition with day‑to‑day HR operations to ensure a seamless employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: write job descriptions, post roles, source candidates, coordinate interviews and support hiring managers.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring positions such as sales, underwriting and operations.
• Design and execute recruiting strategies across job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, college and state job fairs, and referral networks.
• Lead new‑hire onboarding, including payroll setup, healthcare enrollment and compliance documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee records, administer benefits, and assist with payroll processing in line with local regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Costa Rica labor, payroll and benefits laws, monitor filings and keep HR policies up to date.
• Act as a trusted resource for employee questions, drive engagement programs, and organize team‑building and recognition events.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of proven experience in HR, recruitment or talent acquisition.
• Strong knowledge of Costa Rica employment regulations and payroll compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with department heads.
• Experience designing onboarding programs and employee engagement initiatives.
