Hotel Receptionist

About the role

The Hotel Receptionist works full‑time at the front desk in Escazú, providing a welcoming first impression for guests and ensuring smooth check‑in and check‑out processes. This position is central to delivering a high‑quality guest experience in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage all check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Handle reservations, maintain accurate guest records, and assign rooms.
• Process payments and manage billing inquiries.
• Answer phone calls and emails, offering information on hotel services and local attractions.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to fulfill guest requests.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a tidy, organized reception area and follow security and company policies.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and customer‑focused attitude.
• Proficiency in standard front‑desk duties, including guest registration and room assignments.
• Experience with reservations and attention to detail.
• Professional phone etiquette and clear verbal and written communication.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with hotel management or reservation systems.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and stay calm in a fast‑paced setting.
• Fluency in Spanish; English proficiency strongly preferred.
• Previous hospitality or customer‑service experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
