Hard Collections Analyst – Collections Team

About the role

Spartan Capital is expanding its collections team in San José and seeks a Hard Collections Analyst to manage delinquent merchant accounts. The role involves proactive outreach, negotiation, and resolution of high‑balance, difficult accounts while maintaining professionalism and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts using phone, email, SMS and other channels.
• Negotiate payment plans, settlements and resolutions with merchants.
• Handle escalated and high‑balance accounts with a focus on recovery.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and documentation in the CRM.
• Follow established collection strategies and ensure policy compliance.
• Meet or exceed individual collection and performance targets.
• Collaborate with supervisors to refine recovery tactics.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of proven hard‑collections experience.
• Strong spoken and written English with confident communication.
• Resilient under pressure, goal‑oriented and highly motivated.
• Excellent time‑management, organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
