GCP Cloud Architect – Design & Automate Scalable Solutions

About the role

Applaudo is looking for a seasoned Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will design, build, and optimize secure, scalable cloud environments that enable modern application delivery and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement best‑practice cloud architecture, security, governance, scalability, and reliability standards.
• Write and maintain Terraform configurations to manage GCP infrastructure as code.
• Design and document infrastructure, network topology, and service diagrams for Development, QA, and Production.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to guide cloud implementation strategies and ensure operational excellence.
• Own assigned cloud environments, guaranteeing stability, security, and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience with GCP.
• Strong understanding of DevOps culture and operational best practices.
• Hands‑on experience guiding Cloud Engineering teams.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform services: Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Google Container Registry (GCR).
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Containerization tools: Docker.
• CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Cloud Build, SonarQube, CircleCI.
• Linux administration and networking troubleshooting.
• Cloud networking and perimeter security best practices.
• Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect and/or Associate Cloud Engineer (preferred).
