Backend Software Developer – .NET / AWS

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Developer with strong expertise in building, enhancing, and maintaining scalable .NET applications. The role involves working on high‑availability, secure, and high‑volume systems that process millions of transactions daily.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in design and architecture discussions for complex backend systems.
• Develop, enhance, test, and maintain scalable backend applications.
• Follow software engineering best practices for coding, testing, security, and maintainability.
• Own critical application components throughout the development and release lifecycle.
• Analyze and resolve application defects and performance issues.
• Evaluate and introduce modern technologies to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to influence technical direction.
• Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines, build processes, and deployment strategies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, technical design sessions, and retrospectives.
• Design and implement secure APIs with appropriate authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Profile and optimize applications supporting high transaction volumes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands‑on software development experience with .NET technologies.
• Expert‑level proficiency in .NET 8, C# 12+, and ASP.NET Core.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event‑driven design.
• Experience developing secure and scalable APIs and knowledge of authentication/authorization concepts.
• Proven ability to profile, troubleshoot, and optimise large‑scale applications.
