Finance Business Intelligence Engineer – FinOps FP&A

About the role

Amazon's Global Finance Solutions (GFS) team is looking for a Finance Business Intelligence Engineer to support the LATAM BIE team. You will own the production and delivery of critical reports that drive business decisions across finance, FinOps, and FP&A.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance data analysis and insight capabilities by collaborating with data infrastructure teams.
• Audit existing visualization dashboards and design new reporting solutions.
• Transform raw data into clear, actionable business intelligence using Excel, SQL and other tools.
• Define and deliver key metrics, reports, and performance indicators.
• Perform deep‑dive analyses on large data sets to answer business questions.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and support AWS cloud solutions, including data lake maintenance, code reviews, diagrams, and pipelines.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience analyzing data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL or similar technologies.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, QuickSight, PowerBI or MicroStrategy.
• Experience with statistical methods (t‑test, chi‑squared) and scripting languages (Python, Java, or R).
• Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and adapt to changing requirements.
