About the role

The Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely replenishment of imported products across all business units, including stores, distribution centers, and plants. The role combines data‑driven analysis, supplier collaboration, and strategic planning to meet inventory and service level targets.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee on‑time supply of replenishable merchandise by analyzing trends, selecting distribution schemes, and innovating joint strategies with suppliers and commercial teams.
• Develop and execute innovation projects to improve the supply chain for Walmart distribution centers and plants.
• Plan and monitor delivery times for assigned items across multiple distribution channels to ensure timely availability and optimal inventory days.
• Produce trend and price history analyses to anticipate factors that could affect inventory flow.
• Perform comparative analyses of automatically generated versus manually created orders against departmental needs.
• Control replenishment system variables (demand, lead times, inventory levels) to maintain target stock levels.
• Collaborate with category managers and buyers to align purchase budgets, demand forecasts, and promotional plans with inventory constraints.
• Coordinate logistics agreements with suppliers and plants through regular S&OP meetings.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in inventory or supply‑chain management.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with commercial, procurement, and logistics teams.
• Proficiency in developing and monitoring KPIs related to stock levels, lead times, and service levels.
• Experience managing budgets and coordinating with suppliers on production and delivery schedules.
• Excellent communication skills to convey risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
