About the role

The company, a multinational operating across Latin America, is seeking a Regional Director of Human Resources to lead its People strategy from San José, Costa Rica. Reporting to senior leadership, the role will shape and execute HR initiatives across multiple markets, supporting the organization’s transformation and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a regional People strategy aligned with business priorities.
• Act as Strategic Business Partner to senior leadership, advising on talent, structure, culture and leadership decisions.
• Lead regional culture, employee experience and engagement programs.
• Drive Organizational Design and Strategic Workforce Planning, forecasting critical roles and future needs.
• Strengthen Talent Management, performance, leadership development and succession planning processes.
• Manage and develop the regional People team, ensuring consistency and operational excellence.
• Set regional Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards and retention frameworks.
• Utilize People Analytics to anticipate risks and inform decision‑making.
• Lead HR technology, automation and AI initiatives to modernize the function.
• Prioritize and monitor strategic HR projects to deliver measurable impact.

Required profile

• 8‑12+ years of progressive HR experience, with a regional focus in Latin America.
• Proven track record leading multi‑country HR teams and complex organizational structures.
• Experience advising C‑level executives and senior leaders.
• Deep knowledge of People strategy, HR business partnering, culture, talent management, organizational design and workforce planning.
• Expertise in performance management, leadership development and succession planning.
• Understanding of compensation, benefits and total rewards.
