Director of Human Resources – Alajuela

About the role

Serve as a strategic HR leader and trusted advisor for the Costa Rica site, driving high‑quality HR service delivery and aligning talent initiatives with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to design and implement strategic HR initiatives that enhance associate engagement and support organizational growth.
• Lead recruitment, retention, talent development, succession planning and mobility strategies to meet workforce needs.
• Provide coaching on performance management, communication and development to reinforce company values.
• Collaborate with other HR functions to deliver integrated solutions and ensure compliance with local employment laws.
• Analyze HR metrics, deliver data‑driven insights and manage budget and staffing for the function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 12 years of HR experience, including 5 years managing teams or core HR functions.
• Deep knowledge of Costa Rican employment laws and regulations.
• Strong business acumen, leadership, influencing and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Ability to work in a matrixed, multi‑national environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
• Experience with HR analytics and metric‑driven decision making.
