Director of Finance

About the role

The Finance Director leads financial management and controllership for an international school, ensuring accuracy, integrity and alignment with strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, produce management accounts, financial statements and performance reports.
• Oversee statutory accounts, audits and compliance with local GAAP, IFRS and Group policies.
• Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting and multi‑year financial planning processes.
• Maintain strong financial controls, cash‑flow planning and working‑capital management.
• Oversee procurement, contract negotiations and vendor performance to drive cost optimisation.
• Provide financial insights to school leadership, regional and group finance teams.
• Lead, develop and mentor the finance team, ensuring high standards of service and compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting, controllership or financial leadership, preferably in education or service‑based organisations.
• Strong experience with statutory compliance, audits and IFRS implementation.
• Proven ability to manage budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting at a senior level.
