Data Streaming Architect

About the role

World Wide Technology is seeking experienced software architects to join its Data Streaming Center of Excellence. The role focuses on designing and implementing data streaming solutions for customers ranging from startups to Fortune 50 enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers early to understand business objectives and provide guidance on data streaming strategies.
• Design event‑driven architectures and streaming applications using technologies such as Apache Kafka, Kinesis, Azure Event Hub, Kafka Streams, Spark, and Apache Flink.
• Act as a trusted advisor during pre‑sales, delivering solutions and presenting value to technical and executive audiences.
• Develop tools, processes, documentation, and thought‑leadership content (blogs, talks) to standardize and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience building data platforms with Apache Kafka (or similar) and streaming frameworks.
• Ability to design data schemas, configure platforms for performance, reliability, and security.
• Strong communication skills to present complex concepts to varied audiences.
• Experience working across disciplines (Data Science, BI, Operations, Application Development) and integrating their tools with streaming platforms.
