About the role
Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for its Shockwave Medical team in Costa Rica. You will design, build, and maintain modern data pipelines and data models that support multiple products and domains.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and launch sophisticated Snowflake data models for diverse use cases.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Fivetran, Python, dbt/Coalesce, and Databricks.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and observability tools such as Monte Carlo.
- Optimize pipeline performance for scalability and efficiency.
- Create dashboards and advanced visualizations in Power BI.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
Required skills
- Snowflake, SQL, Python
- Fivetran, Databricks, dbt, Coalesce
- Data modeling and transformation techniques
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud and Salesforce (preferred)
- Power BI and Monte Carlo for visualization and observability
