Data Engineer III – LATAM

About the role

Propelus® is looking for a Data Engineer III to support its LATAM operations. The role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and enabling data‑driven insights across the healthcare compliance platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources into the data warehouse.
• Implement data quality checks and validation processes to guarantee accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand requirements and deliver suitable data solutions.
• Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and data dictionaries.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise processes.
• Evaluate and adopt new data technologies and tools.
• Document pipelines, processes, and data models.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge‑sharing sessions, and data‑governance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python or Java.
• Strong understanding of data‑warehousing concepts, modeling, and SQL.
• Experience with version control (Git) and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
