Data Analyst

About the role

Moody's is seeking a Data Analyst to support operational controls, business processes and data‑driven insights across its risk‑assessment platform. The analyst will work with diverse data sources to extract, transform and validate information, enabling reliable dashboards and reports that help clients navigate uncertainty.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, prepare, transform and validate data from multiple sources for analytical use.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and visualisations using Tableau or Power BI.
• Apply statistical analysis techniques and data‑modeling concepts to generate business insights.
• Support data quality initiatives, documentation standards and control‑minded analysis.
• Identify automation and AI‑enabled opportunities to improve reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with experience in operational controls and business insights.
• Ability to work independently, deliver high‑quality results on time and escalate issues when needed.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to present findings and actionable recommendations.
• Detail‑oriented, collaborative mindset and capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL and Python; familiarity with R and statistical analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with Tableau or Power BI and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Exposure to Jira, Access, Alteryx, ETL processes or workflow automation.
• Understanding of data quality principles, documentation and validation procedures.
