Cash Operations Specialist - Fintech & Crypto

About the role

Veta Virtual is hiring a Cash Operations Specialist for a high-growth fintech and cryptocurrency client. The role is not routine data entry: it is a detail-driven finance position for someone who can own daily cash positions, bank reconciliations and liquidity, and works closely with accounting, treasury and payroll teams. The candidate must be based in Latin America or Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and record cash payments accurately across accounts, in line with internal accounting standards and procedures.
• Own the completeness and reconciliation of transactions and related accounts.
• Create and park general ledger journals tied to bank statement transactions.
• Manage banking-related accounting transactions and help deliver month-end close on schedule.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Own balance sheet general ledger accounts and their monthly reconciliation, and resolve historic cash queries.
• Report on department performance and process KPIs, and handle audit and tax queries with clear explanations.

Required profile

• 1 to 3 years of experience in treasury operations, accounting or banking.
• Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and business concepts, and of core financial accounting standards, policies, processes and systems.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Comfort and proficiency with AI tools to support reconciliation, reporting and productivity is a strong plus.
• Bonus: basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain.
