Cash Application & AR Specialist

About the role

The Cash Application & AR Specialist will manage the end‑to‑end billing cycle, apply incoming payments, and support collections activities for our Ultralag office. You will work closely with finance, sales and operations teams to ensure accurate cash posting and timely resolution of payment discrepancies.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and reconcile customer payments, retrieve remittances and maintain cash application records.
• Ensure timely posting of monies due and support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end reporting.
• Identify payment disputes, collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain cash application notes, folders, follow‑ups and bank contacts; provide backup for team members.
• Recommend improvements to cash reporting and application procedures.
• Prepare ad‑hoc reports, journal entries and project‑specific reconciliations.

Required profile

• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting preferred.
• Strong experience in cash application, collections and accounts‑receivable processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, high accuracy and strong organizational skills.
• Effective communicator able to build relationships across functional teams.
• Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NetSuite ERP.
