Cash Application Analyst – Financial Operations

About the role

AWS is looking for a hands‑on Cash Application Analyst to join its Financial Operations team. The role focuses on day‑to‑day cash application, ensuring timely and accurate posting of payments while meeting strict service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute cash application and non‑complex reconciliations accurately and within defined turnaround times.
• Communicate with customers and vendors to resolve remittance discrepancies and ensure proper receivables closure.
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics such as unapplied cash, DPMO, cash application rates, and customer experience scores.
• Develop and maintain daily AR payment records, follow up on unapplied and unidentified payments, and drive reduction of unapplied cash.
• Create and maintain reports using Excel, Tableau and system data extracts.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, support technology adoption, and ensure compliance with control policies.
• Collaborate with internal partners to standardize best practices and implement global finance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cash application or accounts receivable within a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with a focus on accuracy and risk management.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet SLAs, and drive continuous improvement.
