Collections and Disputes Manager

About the role

The Collections and Disputes Manager leads the strategic execution of the Order‑to‑Cash collection process, overseeing a team of supervisors and senior analysts across multiple geographies. The role partners with Credit, Sales, Disputes and Cash Applications to meet targets for DSO, past‑due percentages and bad‑debt reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all areas of the O2C collections process and drive operational execution.
• Lead, develop and coach a team of supervisors and senior analysts across regions.
• Set, monitor and act on critical metrics such as collections efficiency, dispute resolution and overdue reduction.
• Collaborate with senior leaders in Credit, Sales, Disputes and Cash Applications to resolve issues and align on goals.
• Handle blocking issues and negotiate with customers to achieve strategic outcomes.
• Champion continuous‑improvement initiatives using root‑cause analysis and process‑design thinking.
• Develop and enforce policies to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and internal controls.
• Lead talent development, succession planning and training for high‑performing teams.
• Present operational results, risk assessments and strategic proposals to executive stakeholders.
• Act as a change leader supporting transformation initiatives within the function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics (MBA a plus).
• 6+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, with at least 4 years in a leadership role managing large teams.
• Consistent track record of reducing overdue balances and improving DSO.
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
• Experience in multi‑country or regional operations.
• Experience with SAP, JDE or GetPaid preferred.
• Background in process‑improvement initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
