Manager I, Collections and Disputes

About the role

The Collections and Disputes Manager leads strategic execution of collection operations within the Order to Cash process, ensuring alignment with company goals for DSO, past‑due percentages, and bad debt. The role collaborates cross‑functionally with Credit, Disputes, Cash Applications, and Sales to standardize methodologies, optimise processes and deliver results across multiple countries or business units.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all O2C collections activities, set long‑term goals and drive operational execution.
• Lead and develop supervisors and senior analysts, overseeing large, geographically dispersed teams.
• Coach frontline leaders to manage performance metrics and improve collections efficiency.
• Set, monitor and respond to critical metrics such as DSO, dispute resolution and overdue reduction.
• Collaborate with senior leadership in Credit, Sales, Disputes and Cash Applications to resolve issues and remove barriers.
• Champion continuous‑improvement initiatives using root‑cause analysis and process‑design thinking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics (MBA a plus).
• 6+ years of Accounts Receivable experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role managing large teams.
• Proven track record of reducing overdue balances and improving DSO.
• Fluent English (C1 level or higher).
• Experience in multi‑country or regional operations is strongly preferred.
