About the role
The CADD/BIM Technician I will support the substation engineering team by providing 2D and 3D drafting, creating construction drawings, and developing accurate Revit models of power substations.
Key responsibilities
- Produce design and construction drafting work including plans, sections, electrical one‑lines, schematics, panel layouts, wiring and communications diagrams.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop and maintain 3D Revit models of substations that meet design specifications and project deadlines.
- Ensure 3D models integrate with other project deliverables and remain up‑to‑date throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with special projects, support colleagues, and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
Required profile
- Two‑year technical degree in Technical Drafting or current enrollment in such a program.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant drafting experience.
- Bilingual English‑Spanish (B2‑C1) proficiency.
- Permanent authorization to work legally in Costa Rica.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Revit for 3D modeling.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with MicroStation (preferred).
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
