Accounts Payable Specialist – Hybrid (Costa Rica)

About the role

Cornerstone is seeking a Senior Manager to lead global Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense and corporate card operations. The role is hybrid, based in Costa Rica, and will oversee vendor payments, employee reimbursements and card program management across multiple entities and currencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global AP, T&E and corporate card processes to ensure accurate, timely, policy‑compliant payments.
• Serve as global process owner, establishing consistent procedures and service‑delivery standards across regions.
• Coach and develop the AP shared‑services team in India and other team members.
• Oversee invoice processing, vendor master data, expense report reviews and corporate card administration.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex payment, expense and card issues.
• Maintain internal controls, segregation of duties and SOX compliance.
• Partner with Procurement, Treasury, Accounting, HR and IT to align policies and controls.
• Drive process simplification, automation and system enhancements, including testing and change management.

Required profile

• 8+ years progressive experience in Accounts Payable, T&E or related finance operations.
• At least 3 years of people‑management experience.
• Experience leading finance operations in a global, multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment, preferably in technology.
• Proven ability to improve processes, implement automation and use operational metrics.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
