AI Finance Internship Program

About the role

World Fuel is seeking motivated university students in Costa Rica to join its AI Finance Internship Program. Interns will collaborate with global Finance teams to develop AI‑driven solutions that improve financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with global Finance teams to identify improvement opportunities in current business processes.
• Analyze large volumes of financial and operational data to generate insights.
• Research, evaluate, and apply AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and decision‑making.
• Support design, testing, and implementation of AI‑enabled solutions that streamline financial processes.
• Assist in data preparation, validation, visualization, and reporting activities.

Required profile

• Active university student enrolled in an accredited university in Costa Rica.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency and strong analytical/problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work remotely in a collaborative, multicultural, global environment.

Required skills

• Experience with AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Azure AI, Power BI AI.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar data‑analytics tools.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Power Automate.
• Understanding of data visualization and storytelling, and experience handling large datasets.
