Temporary Accounting Analyst – 6 to 10 months

About the role

Huntsman is looking for a temporary Accounting Analyst to support its Inventory & Cost Accounting team in Heredia, Costa Rica for a 6‑10 month period. The role will provide full‑time coverage for maternity leave and ongoing accounting operations within a shared services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inventory and account reconciliations, reviewing documentation, comparing balances and documenting variances.
• Support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, including schedules, journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Conduct inventory analysis, aging reviews and follow‑up on slow‑moving or obsolete items.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assist with SAP‑related accounting activities, reporting, data validation and accruals.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Strong English communication skills (C1 level) and ability to work in a deadline‑driven, multinational shared services environment.
• Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency (formulas, PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Practical experience with SAP or another ERP system.
• Experience with cost or inventory accounting, month‑end close and audit support.
