Plant Controller - Costa Rica Manufacturing Site

About the role

Cardinal Health is looking for a Plant Controller to lead the finance function of its manufacturing operations in Costa Rica. The role acts as a strategic business partner to the Plant Leadership Team, overseeing accounting, costing, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and internal control, and working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Commercial and Corporate Finance. Key responsibilities

• Serve as finance leader and business partner for the Costa Rica manufacturing site, supporting cost management and business growth.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with corporate policies and accounting standards.
• Manage general accounting, cost accounting, product costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation and fixed asset accounting.
• Partner with Operations to analyse manufacturing performance, identify improvement opportunities and drive cost reduction.
• Lead annual budget, forecasting and long-range planning, and support capital investment decisions with financial modelling and business cases.
• Ensure strong internal controls, SOX compliance, audit readiness and adherence to local regulations; oversee inventory control, cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations and reserves.
• Lead, coach and develop the site finance team and drive process improvements using financial systems and analytics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 5 years supporting manufacturing operations.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing or developing finance teams.
• Advanced written and verbal English and Spanish.
• Preferred: Big Four audit or advisory experience, MBA or master's degree, medical device or regulated manufacturing experience, SOX assessment experience, FTZ manufacturing experience, Lean/Six Sigma knowledge.

Required skills

• ERP systems such as SAP or BPCS, and hands-on inventory controls and manufacturing process knowledge.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP / IFRS and corporate accounting.
• FP&A, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, inventory accounting, internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis.
