Accounts Payable Analyst – FinOps AP Corporate

About the role

Amazon’s Finance & Global Business Services team is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst II to join the AP Corporate Operations in San Jose. The role supports the procure‑to‑pay process for corporate, employee expense and AWS invoices across LAT‑America, ensuring accurate payments and high‑quality vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Process and troubleshoot invoices, handling vendor inquiries for LATAM countries.
• Conduct root‑cause and trend analysis on payment accuracy metrics and provide actionable insights.
• Maintain vendor health scorecards, identify potential escalations and act as primary contact for top Amazon vendors.
• Collaborate with functional leaders to design scalable, controllership‑focused processes.
• Support senior analysts with research and reporting on invoice holds, productivity and other key metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of end‑to‑end Accounts Payable experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience working with at least one LATAM country supported by the team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑obsessed mindset.
• Progressing or completed technical degree (e.g., Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting or related field).
