Accounting & Compliance Analyst (Costa Rica)

About the role

The Accounting & Compliance Analyst supports accurate financial operations and regulatory compliance for TransUnion's activities in Costa Rica. Working in a hybrid model, the analyst delivers timely analyses, reconciliations, and reporting while partnering with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial analyses to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and material variances for internal stakeholders.
• Partner with Procurement, Legal, Strategy and other teams to improve workflows, set KPIs, and increase operational efficiency.
• Support audits, taxation, forecasting, month‑end close, and internal control activities including actuals, accruals, adjustments, and depreciation.
• Manage monthly and annual tax filings and regulatory reporting such as PROCOMER Canon Reporting and the Annual Operating Report.
• Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Assets Auxiliary for corporate and local reporting.
• Assist with internal and external audits, payroll matters, and statutory books.
• Oversee customs processes and imports through the TICA system, collaborating on Free Trade Zone matters.
• Complete bank reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and ensure compliance with internal control standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least four years of accounting or finance experience, including financial reporting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Costa Rican financial regulations, Free Trade Zone and PROCOMER requirements.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish with clear communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, integrity, and the capacity to explain financial variances concisely.

Required skills

• Experience using the TICA system for imports and customs processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
