Services Design and Validation Senior Group Manager

About the role

The Services Design and Validation Senior Group Manager leads a global team that transforms new and evolving products into scalable, sustainable post‑sales delivery capabilities. This senior leader shapes the service ecosystem, ensuring that products and services are launched with robust design, operational readiness, governance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team responsible for service design, enablement, governance and improvement across the product lifecycle.
• Translate business and product strategies into scalable service operating models and processes.
• Drive service readiness for new products, technologies, lifecycle transitions and business transformations.
• Establish and continuously improve governance frameworks, ownership structures, workflows, escalation paths and lifecycle controls.
• Align cross‑functional groups—including Product Development, Technical Support, Field Services, Operations and Supply Chain—to ensure successful service delivery.
• Define and govern service readiness practices covering people, processes, systems, tools, training, entitlements and commercial execution.
• Ensure services are designed for supportability, maintainability, operational efficiency and long‑term business viability.
• Manage a portfolio of complex services engineering initiatives, balancing strategic priorities and resource constraints.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in complex, ambiguous environments.
• Strong ability to build structure, define ownership and guide technical teams through cross‑functional initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Track record of aligning product lifecycle management with service design and operational readiness.
• Experience fostering a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
