Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Tebra, you will primarily design and build robust backend services while also supporting frontend development when needed. You will evolve the core API layer, deliver secure and high‑performance REST APIs, and collaborate across the stack to ship end‑to‑end features.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve platform APIs and microservices, ensuring low‑latency, resilient endpoints.
• Design and implement Spring Boot services using contract‑first APIs, layered architecture, and DTO mappers.
• Integrate with platform domains such as appointments, patients, messaging, and authentication.
• Improve reliability and performance through caching (Ehcache, Redis), connection management, and efficient data access.
• Implement observability (structured logging, metrics, tracing) and automate build/deploy pipelines.
• Write comprehensive tests (unit, integration, contract, performance) using JUnit/TestNG.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and document architectural patterns.
• Contribute to frontend codebases (Angular/React) to unblock delivery and ensure cohesive user experiences.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience building Java services.
• Strong expertise with Spring Boot and REST API design, including contract‑first development.
• Ability to work on modern frontend frameworks (Angular or React) when required.
• Experience with service contracts, external API integration, and high‑performance data modeling.
• Solid understanding of messaging/async patterns (ActiveMQ, Kafka) and resilience techniques.
