Platform Lead

About the role

Newfire Global Partners is seeking a senior, hands‑on Platform Lead to shape and evolve the delivery and infrastructure foundations of a large‑scale e‑commerce platform for a luxury retail client. You will mentor a small team of platform and application engineers while actively designing and implementing CI/CD, observability, and reliability solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform engineers.
• Define and enforce standards for environment management, secrets, infrastructure as code, and container workflows.
• Conduct infrastructure reviews, plan and execute updates, and ensure bug‑free deployments.
• Support releases, deploy new environments, and handle stability and functionality tasks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial DevOps experience.
• Proven ability to modernize immature engineering environments into secure, reliable, and scalable platforms.
• Strong English communication skills and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Required skills

• Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure automation.
• AWS services (EKS, Lambda, S3, Route53, RDS, IAM).
• Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration.
• GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Git version control.
• Database administration (PostgreSQL, MSSQL).
• Monitoring with Datadog.
• BASH scripting and Python development (nice to have).
