Senior RTR Accountant – Finance Transformation

About the role

DHL Supply Chain is building a world‑class Accounting hub in Heredia and needs an experienced RTR Senior Accountant to support its Finance transformation. You will work closely with Country Operations, Finance, Controlling and Shared Services to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts, prepare, review and approve journal entries.
• Reconcile financial data in the general ledger with supporting documentation and validate balance‑sheet accounts.
• Review and validate Capex purchase requisitions against group policy.
• Monitor bank open items, perform timely reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee reporting of fixed assets, intercompany transactions and related processes in collaboration with SSC and local finance teams.
• Support cash‑management activities, including internal and external banking transactions.
• Manage IFRS 16 lease reporting, maintain lease contracts in the Leap database and ensure accurate embedded lease reporting.
• Engage regularly with country teams and shared services to provide inputs for common processes and meet KPI requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and accurate data entry in CREST and local accounting systems.
• Provide technical accounting support in collaboration with Accounting Governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or advanced bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (CPA, CPI, ACCA or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Record‑to‑Report (RTR) accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP compliance.
• Experience in US or LATAM Shared Services or Global Business Services environments.
