RTR Subject Matter Expert – Finance Transformation

About the role

DHL Supply Chain is building a world‑class Accounting hub in Heredia, Costa Rica and seeks an experienced Record‑to‑Report (RTR) Subject Matter Expert to support its Finance transformation. The role will work within the Reimagine Finance program, ensuring high‑quality accounting delivery across the region while aligning with global standards and the new Oracle Cloud ERP Financials platform.

Key responsibilities

• Review and reconcile balance‑sheet and bank accounts periodically, producing working papers and supporting documentation.
• Engage regularly with country operations, finance, controlling and shared services to ensure accurate inputs and outputs for common processes and internal controls.
• Validate and approve CAPEX purchase requisitions in line with group policies.
• Manage cash flow, working‑capital requirements and bank relationships, including internal and external banking transactions.
• Oversee IFRS 16 lease reporting, maintain lease contracts in the LEAP database and ensure accurate embedded lease reporting.
• Deliver process performance against agreed KPIs and support transition of new activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and accurate data reporting in CREST and local accounting systems.
• Provide technical support for complex accounting processes in collaboration with Accounting Governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, CPI, ACCA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in RTR accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial compliance, reporting requirements and IFRS 16.
