Accountant – Record to Report (R2R)

About the role

DHL Express is seeking an Accountant to join its Heredia, Costa Rica team. You will be an integral member of the Record to Report (R2R) function, supporting processes across the Americas and ensuring high‑quality, accurate financial data for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post accounting entries.
• Analyze account balances and reconcile discrepancies.
• Process receivable and payable transactions.
• Respond to accounting inquiries from regional offices.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information.
• Support audit requests and prepare related documentation.
• Collaborate with regional SSCs and business partners to ensure accurate reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Accounting or related field (or currently pursuing).
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting, preferably with Fixed Assets.
• Strong knowledge of Record to Report (R2R) processes and the full accounting cycle.
• Professional proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).

Required skills

• SAP (practical experience preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
