Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

West Monroe is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join its Enterprise Technology team. In this role you will partner with clients to design, migrate, and modernize their IT infrastructure using public‑cloud services, automation, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools. You will work in a collaborative consulting environment that values both technical excellence and business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with technology consultants to design, build, and implement public‑cloud and on‑premise infrastructure solutions.
• Interview client stakeholders, assess current IT processes, define requirements, and recommend solutions.
• Develop migration plans and strategies for cloud services, cloud‑based applications, and networking capabilities.
• Use scripting, Terraform, and other IaC tools to automate migrations and modernize environments.
• Configure services on reference architectures and demonstrate Agile, CI/CD, and requirements‑gathering best practices.
• Partner with architects and engagement leads to present roadmaps to client executives and provide status updates.
• Contribute to practice development by creating reusable frameworks, internal training, and technology accelerators.
• Coach and mentor junior consultants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 4‑6+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years of hands‑on public‑cloud deployments.
• Consulting or professional‑services experience preferred.
• Strong ability to explain complex cloud concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
