Senior Backend Engineer – Attack & User Emulation

About the role

SimSpace is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Attack and User Emulation (AUE) team. You will own the design, development, and operation of core microservices that power high‑fidelity cyber‑range simulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain containerized microservices that deliver core emulation capabilities.
• Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of services in a live‑fire cyber‑range environment.
• Guide the team on best coding practices, system architecture, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute directly to code, design, and architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior backend engineer building microservice‑based systems.
• Strong understanding of event‑driven messaging architectures.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor team members.
