Site Reliability Engineer 2

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the Oracle Analytics Service Excellence (OASE) team. The SRE will partner with development teams to enhance the reliability, availability and performance of Oracle Analytics Cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 operational support in a follow‑the‑sun model for pre‑production and production environments.
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot complex distributed‑system issues and drive mitigation to completion.
• Read, understand and debug existing application and service code to identify root causes.
• Build and maintain operational tooling, automation scripts, dashboards, monitoring, runbooks and knowledge‑base documentation.
• Develop AI‑assisted and automation tools to improve incident investigation, remediation and reporting.
• Analyze service health, workload patterns and capacity trends to anticipate reliability risks.
• Execute patches, hot‑fixes, upgrades and maintenance activities with operational excellence.
• Collaborate with development, support, product management and other engineering teams to resolve service failures.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate and safely troubleshoot production code.
• Experience working in an agile, customer‑focused environment.
• Proactive attitude toward improving uptime and reducing incident recurrence.

Required skills

• Experience with monitoring, telemetry collection and automation in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in scripting and developing tools for operational reporting.
• Understanding of distributed systems, capacity analysis and patch management.
