SAP Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a SAP Software Engineer to join our global HR Services technology team. The role focuses on developing, enhancing, and transforming SAP ABAP solutions that deliver HR services to internal users.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into technical specifications, code, or configuration.
• Develop, modify, and test SAP ABAP components based on project needs.
• Write and maintain high-quality code following best practices.
• Work with SAP technical components and support product improvements within the HR Services technology space.
• Understand and implement API integrations, including request/response structures, authentication, parameters, and error handling.
• Research technical options, evaluate alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions.
• Design and execute test cases to validate functionality, including user validation, parameter validation, outputs, and exception scenarios.
• Provide clear status updates on progress, blockers, risks, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with product, operations, support, and other IT teams to ensure successful delivery and transition of solutions.
• Document technical solutions, configurations, decisions, and support procedures.

Required profile

• Hands-on experience or a solid foundation in SAP ABAP programming.
• Understanding of core software engineering concepts and ability to analyze requirements.
• Capability to develop, configure, test, and troubleshoot technical solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with technical and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn ABAP if coming from other programming backgrounds.
