Principal Full-Stack Engineer – Headless E-Commerce

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Full‑Stack Engineer to lead the design, development and evolution of our headless e‑commerce platform. You will build scalable backend services and APIs with Node.js and TypeScript while also shaping the React‑based storefront and admin experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend features using Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Develop, maintain and evolve APIs, services and domain logic that power the commerce platform.
• Work across the full stack, including backend integrations and React‑based storefront and admin interfaces.
• Learn, extend and customize Medusa JS, creating custom services, plugins and integrations (payments, fulfillment, notifications).
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Own features end‑to‑end: design, implementation, testing, deployment and iteration.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, platform standards and engineering best practices.
• Review code, mentor teammates and support production systems.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in backend development with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven experience building full‑stack applications and APIs.
• Familiarity with headless commerce concepts and platforms such as Medusa JS.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and take ownership of features.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical quality.
