Model Based Software Engineer

About the role

Join Avionyx, a leading avionics software services company, as a Model Based Software Engineer. You will translate requirements into model‑based designs, create and execute tests, and analyse results to support the development of safety‑critical software for electric aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Compose and decompose system requirements and map them to model‑based designs.
• Design, run, and analyse tests in simulated and target environments.
• Collaborate with flight‑control, battery‑control, motor‑control, certification, flight‑test and verification teams.
• Optimise test execution for speed and parallelism.
• Interpret large test data sets and produce clear, defensible conclusions.

Required profile

• BSc in mechanical, electrical/electronics, mechatronics, aerospace, computer science or a related field.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

• Linear and control systems knowledge
• Software testing, including Test‑Driven Development
• Requirement‑based verification and validation
• Familiarity with RTCA DO‑178 and DO‑331 standards
