Maintenance Technician

About the role

Zimmer Biomet is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability of production machinery and equipment in its manufacturing facilities. You will play a critical part in keeping the plant running smoothly, supporting the creation of life‑enhancing medical technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, disconnect, move, and reconnect machines across the manufacturing environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of machining, manufacturing, and facility equipment.
• Test equipment, clear jams, and set aside product for inspection or rework.
• Train production operators on equipment handling and material flow.
• Document all work according to the quality system and ensure equipment returns to a qualified state after maintenance.
• Collaborate with the Facilities Manager and shift supervisor to address recurring malfunctions and align maintenance activities with production plans.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience repairing hand tools, machine tools, and electrical measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of CNC machine components such as spindle bearings, ball screws, spindle headstocks, and axis feed systems.
• Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
• Ability to propose cost‑effective repair methods and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn.
