HR Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the human resources strategy and operations for a new manufacturing facility in Cartago. You will shape culture, attract top talent, and support business growth across Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HR strategy and day‑to‑day operations for the new site.
• Build and scale HR processes, policies, and systems aligned with business objectives.
• Drive high‑volume recruitment to support rapid workforce growth.
• Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, performance management and employee development.
• Implement employee engagement, culture and retention initiatives.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, labor compliance and HR best practices.
• Collaborate with regional and global HR teams on strategic talent initiatives across the Americas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, medical devices or similar industrial environments.
• Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, HR operations and organizational development.
• Strong knowledge of Costa Rican labor legislation.
• Experience implementing HR systems or payroll infrastructure.
• Ability to influence leaders, manage change and thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Fluent English.
