Full Stack Software Engineer – Automation

About the role

The Automation Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain digital tools that support North America Power & Water Solutions (PWS) automation activities such as estimating, costing, and documentation management. You will work closely with proposal, costing, engineering, and digital teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full‑stack applications that automate PWS processes.
• Build and sustain backend services and APIs for internal integrations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support and enhance existing in‑house applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot application or data issues that affect automation timelines.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability using established standards.
• Document technical designs, user guides, and application details.
• Utilize version control and DevOps tools for code management and releases.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and further automation.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–6 years of professional software development experience.
• Full‑stack development expertise.
• Front‑end: JavaScript, React (or similar), Bootstrap.
• Back‑end.NET/.NET Core, Python, NodeJS, FastAPI (or similar).
• Relational databases: MS SQL, PostgreSQL.
• Version control and DevOps tools: Azure DevOps, TFS, Git (or equivalent).
