Employee Relations Advisor (6‑month contract)

About the role

The Employee Relations Advisor will act as a trusted partner to people managers across the United States, guiding low‑performance cases and ensuring fair, compliant separations. This six‑month contract position handles a high volume of cases across multiple states and supports cross‑border travel logistics for employees in the US, Canada, and LATAM.

Key responsibilities

• Coach US managers on performance‑management, corrective actions, and separation processes.
• Manage a large portfolio of active employee‑relations cases while maintaining confidentiality and speed.
• Identify solutions for ambiguous personnel situations and adapt to evolving compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with Legal, ER, HRBP, and Payroll teams to mitigate risk and ensure accurate final payouts and state‑specific termination compliance.
• Partner with People Operations to execute off‑boarding procedures, separation agreements, and system exits.
• Coordinate cross‑border travel and accommodation for employee‑related medical or case needs in the US, Canada, and LATAM.
• Collect and organize travel and compliance documentation, acting as liaison between employees, external vendors, and corporate travel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Employee Relations, HR Advisory, HR Business Partner or HR Generalist roles within multinational or fast‑paced organizations.
• Strong knowledge of US federal and state employment law, progressive discipline, and termination processes.
• Advanced written and spoken English proficiency.
