Solutions Engineer - Pre-Sales Technical Advisor

About the role

Cisco is hiring a Solutions Engineer to join its pre-sales portfolio global team, which represents the Cisco brand to customers and partners. Working in a hybrid model in Mexico, Colombia or Costa Rica, the engineer acts as a primary technical sales influencer, turning customer and partner business needs into comprehensive technical requirements. The role works closely with account and connected sales teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engagements with IT and business decision-makers, keeping expertise current on Cisco's portfolio and specializing in key domains.
• Develop strategic plans for customers, lead solutions design and present solutions based on technical and business requirements.
• Drive deals through the technical sales process, manage virtual support teams and use relevant tools to support opportunities.
• Analyze the competitive landscape to position Cisco's value, win business and give feedback to business entities on market opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, align strategy, strengthen relationships and lead education on Cisco solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience, or Master's degree with 3 years, or PhD with 0 years.
• Proven experience leading deals and managing virtual support teams.
• Strong background in systems integration and architecture, able to design and present solutions.
• Track record of owning sales processes, landing opportunities, expanding accounts and growing revenue through closed deals.
