Remote Diamond & Jewelry Sales Specialist (overnight)

About the role

Rare Carat is seeking a Remote Diamond & Jewelry Sales Specialist to join its gemology team on an overnight shift. The role focuses on providing education‑based customer service, helping clients select diamonds, engagement rings, and fine jewelry while ensuring a seamless sales experience.

Key responsibilities

• Educate and assist customers in finding the perfect diamond, engagement ring, or fine jewelry by providing detailed product information and recommendations.
• Guide customers through the entire sales process, including order processing, payment handling, shipping coordination, and post‑sale follow‑up.
• Communicate with customers via chat, email, and phone, delivering a high‑quality, personalized experience.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and transactions in the company’s systems.

Required profile

• GIA Graduate Gemologist Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum three years of fine‑jewelry sales experience, preferably focused on bridal jewelry.
• Proven background in jewelry customer service and an education‑based sales approach.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, remote environment.

Required skills

• In‑depth diamond knowledge beyond the 4Cs, including proportions, fluorescence, phosphorescence, lab‑grown vs. natural diamonds.
• Comprehensive understanding of jewelry settings, metal types, and related terminology.
