Accounting Manager – Roofing Industry

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to take full ownership of the accounting function for a fast‑growing roofing and construction business. This remote, hands‑on position will manage the complete accounting cycle, provide financial insight to leadership, and drive process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle for roofing and construction operations, including reconciliations, month‑end and year‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and deliver monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash‑flow statements for leadership.
• Manage job costing, work‑in‑progress schedules, and percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition for residential and commercial projects.
• Oversee accounts payable, expense management, subcontractor payments, and vendor interactions.
• Integrate and maintain accounting tools such as QuickBooks Online and related platforms.
• Prepare accurate books for the external CPA firm and support annual tax filings.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow planning, and strategic financial decisions.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures as the business scales.
• Coach and guide accounting support staff as the team expands.

Required profile

• 5‑7+ years of full‑cycle accounting experience with U.S. companies.
• CPA license or equivalent local accounting credential preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and percentage‑of‑completion accounting.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
