Systems Administrator II - VDI Ops Engineer

About the role

The Systems Administrator II – VDI Ops Engineer provides first‑level support and monitoring for enterprise systems, ensuring stability, availability, and performance. This individual works cross‑functionally to implement hardware and software changes while documenting procedures and performance metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze the stability, availability, and performance of enterprise systems, including applications, networks, databases, storage, and security components.
• Provide first‑level troubleshooting and incident resolution to minimize system downtime.
• Support technical and project teams in resolving application‑specific issues.
• Assist with data extraction from databases for reporting purposes.
• Participate in the installation, upgrade, and decommissioning of hardware, software, and infrastructure components.
• Follow change‑management processes and maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures.
• Escalate identified risks or problems to lead administrators according to established processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Social Science, Education, Business, Health Care, or a related field, OR at least two years of IT/operations experience.
• Alternatively, three years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree, totaling five years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, follow procedures, and collaborate across functions.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with product users, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Commitment to self‑development and continuous improvement.
